Who we are:
Carrier and Company Interiors Ltd. is a husband and wife partnership of design principals, Jesse Carrier and Mara Miller. Jesse and Mara have the benefit of a combined total of 20 years experience working with some of New York's premier designers before opening their doors in 2005.
Clients include Anna Wintour, Vogue, Bob Pittman, Jane Rosenthal, and Jason Wu to name a few. Their work has been published in The World of Interiors, Vogue, and Elle Decor. Carrier and Company has been listed in the Top 20 Young Designers by Traditional Home.
What we do:
Connecting people to place is the key to developing a successful interior that is not only beautiful, but a deeply personal reflection of its occupants.
Using a confident mix of history, contemporary design, comfort and grace we are able to achieve interiors that are chic and timeless — both familiar and fresh at once. A truly personalized interior takes shape when you add to the mix clients' collections, artwork, heirlooms, taste and personality.
Ultimately, interiors are not just spaces for living, but living spaces — and by grounding them in layers of color and texture (some rich, some subtle) we help them to be comfortable and forgiving so their inevitable use and age are advantageous.
How we do it:
Through a process of interviews and meetings, a general sense of a client's personality and goals is established. Some meetings are conducted at the client's current residence to see, first hand, how they live, their aesthetic, and what they consider successes and failures — to either replicate or avoid. Then a series of design meetings define the project's design direction by developing floor plans and reviewing images and materials. In the end, there is a highly detailed and very personal design that is then implemented using our custom workrooms and trade resources.

Current projects include private residences in New York City, South Hampton, NY, New Canaan, CT, Greenwich, CT, Washington, CT, as well as corporate offices in New York City and Greenwich, CT.
